Since 2010, Real Leaders has been on a mission to unite better leaders for a better world, recognizing and connecting companies who prove that strong financial performance and meaningful impact can work together.
In its 9th Annual Top Impact Companies ranking, Real Leaders aims to recognize the companies redefining a new standard of success in their industry.

Impact looks different across industries.
That’s why every applicant is filtered through our prorprietary Real Leaders I.M.P.A.C.T. Assessment, covering:
Intention, Model, People, Accountability, Capital, and Transformation (I.M.P.A.C.T)
Companies are then ranked overall and within their industry based on:
2025 gross annual revenue × three-year CAGR.
Final rankings consider business performance, the strength of the application, and available evidence that growth and impact are working together.

The Real Leaders Top Impact Companies ranking recognizes businesses that are growing while creating a measurable positive impact on their employees, customers, communities, industries, or the environment.
Privately held and publicly traded companies of all sizes and industries may apply. Companies should be able to demonstrate both business performance and a meaningful commitment to using business as a force for good.
Companies are evaluated using the Real Leaders I.M.P.A.C.T. framework:
Intention: The purpose and commitments guiding the company
Model: How impact is built into the business model
People: How the company supports employees and stakeholders
Accountability: How progress is measured, verified, and reported
Capital: How the company leverages growth capital to achieve its mission
Transformation: How the company is growing and creating meaningful change
Rankings also consider company performance, including gross annual revenue and three-year growth rate, so companies are recognized for demonstrating that growth and impact can work together.
Companies may be recognized on the overall Top Impact Companies list and within relevant industry categories. Industry rankings help applicants understand how they compare with businesses operating in a similar market.
Yes. Impact can look very different across industries. A manufacturer, software company, hospitality group, financial firm, and consumer brand may create impact in different ways.
The I.M.P.A.C.T. framework provides a consistent evaluation structure while allowing each company to explain what meaningful impact looks like within its business and industry.
No. Third-party certifications may strengthen an application, but they are not required. Companies may provide other evidence of their impact, including policies, reports, performance data, certifications, case studies, employee programs, community initiatives, and measurable outcomes.
Applicants may be asked to provide gross annual revenue and growth information for ranking purposes. Real Leaders does not require applicants to submit detailed financial statements, banking information, or confidential financial records unless specifically stated.
The application asks about the company’s business, leadership, growth, impact strategy, employees, accountability practices, partnerships, and measurable results.
Applicants should provide clear examples and supporting evidence whenever possible.
The application may be completed by a CEO, founder, executive, communications leader, sustainability leader, chief people officer, or another team member who understands the company’s business performance and impact initiatives.
Completion time depends on how readily available the company’s information is. Companies with organized impact, growth, and leadership data should be able to complete the application efficiently.
There is no fee to submit an application unless otherwise stated on the official application page.
Optional promotional opportunities, upgraded profiles, awards materials, advertising, media packages, and partnership opportunities may be available, but purchasing them does not determine whether a company is selected or how it is ranked.
No. Companies are evaluated based on the strength of their application, available evidence, business performance, and demonstrated impact.
Advertising, sponsorship, or promotional purchases do not guarantee selection or improve a company’s ranking.
Approximately 10% of applications are rejected every year.
Real Leaders may review company websites, public records, certifications, impact reports, media coverage, financial information provided in the application, and other supporting evidence.
Applicants may also be contacted for clarification or additional documentation.
Strong applications are specific, measurable, and supported by evidence. Rather than relying only on broad statements, applicants should explain:
What the company is trying to change
How impact is connected to the business model
What actions the company has taken
What results have been achieved
How those results are measured
How the company plans to improve
Yes. Companies do not need to be perfect to apply. However, applicants should be able to demonstrate genuine action, measurable progress, and a clear commitment to improving their impact over time.
Yes. Startups may apply if they meet the eligibility requirements listed on the application. They should provide the strongest available evidence of growth, business performance, leadership, and impact.
The Top Impact Companies ranking is primarily designed for operating businesses. Nonprofits, foundations, and other organizations should review the eligibility requirements or contact Real Leaders to determine whether they qualify for a relevant recognition program.
Companies should select the industry that most accurately represents their primary business model and source of revenue. Real Leaders may adjust an applicant’s category when necessary to improve the accuracy of the ranking.
Real Leaders reviews each eligible application and may contact the applicant for clarification or supporting information.
Applicants will be notified of their status according to the timeline published for that year’s ranking.
The announcement date is in January 2027 to kick-off the new year.
Selected companies may receive:
Recognition in the official Top Impact Companies ranking
Placement within an industry ranking
A company profile on Real-Leaders.com
A digital awards badge
Editorial or article opportunities

Specific benefits may vary by year and recognition level.

This helps readers, customers, employees, partners, and investors discover companies that are leading within a specific market.
Premium promotional placements may also be available separately, but they do not influence the underlying ranking.
Yes. Selected companies are encouraged to share their recognition through their website, press releases, social media, investor communications, recruiting materials, email signatures, presentations, and other marketing channels.
Usage must follow the official Real Leaders awards and trademark guidelines.
Selected companies may be offered optional awards materials and promotional opportunities, including plaques, trophies, magazine features, enhanced profiles, advertising, content production, event participation, and partnership packages. These purchases are optional and do not affect selection. BE AWARE OF 3rd-Party Providers Claiming they are affiliated with Real Leaders.
Applicants should contact Real Leaders as soon as possible if they discover an error or need to provide additional information. Changes may not be accepted after the judging process has begun.
Real Leaders may use submitted information to evaluate the company and prepare ranking descriptions, profiles, articles, or promotional materials. Applicants should clearly identify any information that is confidential and should not be published. Companies should not submit trade secrets or highly sensitive information that is not necessary for evaluation.
Real Leaders created the ranking to help business leaders, employees, customers, investors, and partners identify companies proving that positive impact and strong business performance can reinforce one another.
The goal is not simply to recognize good intentions. It is to highlight businesses turning leadership commitments into meaningful action and measurable results.
Companies that are not selected may apply again in a future year. Applicants can strengthen future submissions by improving measurement, supporting claims with stronger evidence, connecting impact more directly to the business model, and demonstrating continued growth and progress.
